For as long as I can remember, candles have been my daily ritual. I’ve tried nearly every candle on the market. There’s something about that soft glow and gentle aroma that transforms a space and fills it with life, warmth, and energy.

But over time, my love for candles turned into something deeper: a realization that not all candles are created with the same care.

Because I’m extremely health-conscious, I started questioning what I was actually breathing in. My research led me to a disturbing truth — many high-end brands in my home use paraffin wax, a cheap petroleum-derived ingredient linked to unhealthy indoor air. When I switched to cleaner options like soy or beeswax, I found that the scents weren’t as strong. And the candles that did smell amazing? They often came in plain, uninspired jars or used questionable ingredients.

It felt like there was always a compromise:

Clean but boring.

Beautiful but toxic.

Fragrant but low-quality.

In 2022, I decided to change that.

I moved from Manhattan to Los Angeles to complete an aromatherapy course. Meanwhile, I studied candle-making from the inside out — waxes, oils, wicks, vessels, and the chemistry behind a truly clean, high-performance candle. The more I learned, the more I fell in love with the craft. And that passion turned into a mission: to create candles that offered luxury without sacrifice.
